What a charge point earns in EREs is not fixed. It follows from three things: how much power you deliver to vehicles, what share of that counts as renewable, and what an ERE is worth at the time. You control the first two; not the third.

What you control: volume and origin

Every kWh your charge point delivers to a vehicle counts — provided it is renewable. Charge on ordinary grid power, and in 2026 50.5% of it counts: the Dutch share of green power from two years earlier. Generate your own renewable power and supply it directly to transport, and under conditions the full 100% can count — nearly doubling the number of EREs for the same charging volume. Exactly how those two routes work, and what conditions apply, is worked out with a full example in what a charge point earns in EREs.

What you don't control: the market price

The number of EREs you earn is fixed once your charging volume and power origin are known. What that becomes in euros is not: the REV is still closed and no trading has begun, so a market price does not exist today. Every amount per kWh circulating now — including our own indications — is an assumption, not a quote. Once trading does begin, the price will be set by supply and demand among fuel suppliers.

Why are you often leaving money on the table?

Rarely because of too little charging. Usually because charging data fails verification: standalone files, missing origin data, no solid connection to the charge point. A session that does not pass the check earns no ERE — however many kWh were delivered.

What Voltico does for you here

What a single ERE is worth isn't fixed; what you keep after the service fee is traceable. Voltico registers, sells and pays out without you having to track a market price yourself: you only pay once a sale has happened, and your own generation can roughly double the number of EREs. Run your own numbers with the ERE calculator.
