Charging e-trucks from Gomes? Every charged kWh can earn EREs

Gomes supplies your trucks and charging infrastructure. Voltico registers the kWh your trucks charge as EREs and pays you out. Enter your number of trucks and see what it earns.

In short

What Voltico does and how EREs work

An ERE (emission reduction unit) is a tradable unit representing 1 kilogram of avoided CO₂-equivalent. Since 1 January 2026 the ERE system has replaced the HBE system; the Dutch Emissions Authority (NEa) administers it. The kWh your chargers deliver to electric transport can earn EREs when they qualify.

Voltico is registered with the NEa and handles the whole process: we validate your charging data, register the EREs, sell them and pay out the proceeds. You do not have to carry the NEa administration yourself.

How it works

From charger to payouts in three steps

  1. Connect Voltico

Link your chargers' charging data to Voltico through a secure integration.

  2. We validate and trade

Voltico converts the qualifying kWh into EREs, registers them with the NEa and trades them on the open market.

  3. Receive automated payouts

The proceeds are paid into your account automatically.

Getting started

What you need to get started

You qualify with a charge point in the Netherlands with an MID-certified meter, as long as you have not appointed another ERE service provider this calendar year.

I charge at home (private)

  • A recent energy bill (no older than 2 months) showing your name, address and EAN
  • A valid ID for the digital ID check
  • A photo of your charger taken with location on, so we can see it is at your address

I charge for business (company)

  • Your Chamber of Commerce (KvK) number: we use it to prefill your company details
  • The company's authorised signatory, with a valid ID for the ID check
  • For each location an energy bill no older than 2 months, with EAN and delivery address
  • The back-office system (CPMS) of your chargers; if you do not know it, ask your charger supplier
  • Add all your locations in one go: you cannot add more afterwards

Your progress is saved, so you don't have to do it in one go.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

ERE stands for emission reduction unit (Dutch: emissiereductie-eenheid). EREs are tradeable units awarded for renewable energy delivered to vehicles. Voltico registers your charging sessions with the Dutch Emissions Authority (NEa), sells the resulting units, and pays you your share. ERE replaced HBE as the unit under the scheme on 1 January 2026. It is a further development of the same instrument, not a new one.
