58 days left to choose for 2026. Our advice: arrange it before 31 December. Get started for 2026
Assurance is built into the process
We check every charging session before we register it, so your registrations are ready for the annual verification. Your money is kept apart until payout.
Three parties check
The NEa records
The Dutch Emissions Authority (NEa) records every registration in its register.
A verifier checks
Once a year an independent verifier checks all registrations. The error margin is 2%, across the whole registered volume.
We validate up front
Our software checks every charging session before we register it, and tests your data against that 2% continuously. We aim for 99.9% reliable data.
Checked like a payment
ERE's are money. So we use the checks you know from a bank or payment provider: who takes part, who buys, where the money sits and what happens to your data.
We know who you are
When you sign up you verify your identity through Stripe. We check that you are authorised for the connection and run sanction and fraud checks.
We know the buyer
Your ERE's only go to buyers we have checked in advance: who they are and whether they can pay.
Your money is kept apart
Proceeds sit in a segregated third-party account, outside Voltico's books. Payouts go through Stripe, after the buyer has paid.
Your data stays yours
We only read technical charging data, encrypted. Not who charges or with which card. We sell nothing on.
Why we check up front
The verifier checks once a year. If they find more than 2% incorrect or insufficiently supported data, this follows.
Verification
The verifier checks the year.
Above 2%
No positive verification statement is issued.
Rejected status
The registrations get the rejected status in the register.
The NEa decides
The NEa investigates the consequences case by case.
That does not automatically mean everything goes to zero. That is why we catch errors before registering, not at the annual check.
We have been through the cycle
22 million kWh traded and paid out
Our customers' charging volume for 2025, from registration to payout.
Audit without omissions
Our first audit, over 2024, with an independent verifier. No shortcomings either.
Independent
No trading position of our own: we do not trade on our own account and supply no fuel.
