What does Voltico cost?
No set-up costs, and we pay for the mandatory verification. You only pay a service fee on what your ERE's earn: 20% on the first €10,000 a year, then stepping down to 6%.
The latest published ERE price (as of 16 October 2026)
What you receive per kWh moves with this price. Alongside is last week’s price and the past six months.
This is the market price of an ERE-E (source: OLYX), converted to cents per kWh. It is the price an ERE trades at on the market, not your payout: the fee still comes off it, and the market moves. Voltico gives no price or revenue guarantee.
Our fee starts at 20% and falls to 6% as your revenue grows
Each percentage applies only to the part of your revenue that falls inside that band. The full staffel is below, with a worked example.
What does Voltico cost?
We trade your ERE’s through our broker OLYX and pay the proceeds into your account automatically.
No set-up cost
For businesses a minimum charging volume applies: 50 MWh a year, 100 MWh with on-site generation and 200 MWh with storage. Does a charger deliver less than 1,500 kWh a year? Then you probably have a home charger, and home charging fits better. No upfront costs; cancel yearly after 2027.
| Gross ERE revenue per company, per year | Fee | For you |
|---|---|---|
| € 0 – € 10,000 | 20% | 80% |
| € 10,000 – € 25,000 | 15% | 85% |
| € 25,000 – € 100,000 | 8% | 92% |
| € 100,000 – € 250,000 | 7% | 93% |
| above € 250,000 | 6% | 94% |
Each percentage applies only to the part of the revenue that falls inside that band, like income tax brackets. The staffel counts per company (legal entity) per calendar year and starts again every year.
Charging at home? Then it is always 20%
As a private individual you pay 20% fee and keep 80%. A charger at home stays well below the first band of € 10,000 a year, so the lower bands do not come into play for you.
Worked example: € 40,000 gross a year
- Gross ERE revenue
- + €40,000
- Fee 20% on €0 – €10,000
- − €2,000
- Fee 15% on €10,000 – €25,000
- − €2,250
- Fee 8% on €25,000 – €100,000
- − €1,200
- Net for you
- = €34,550
13.6% fee on average over the whole amount.

Sign up before 31 December and your 2026 charging sessions can count from 1 January.
No upfront costs. After 2027 you can cancel every year.
You qualify if your charge points are in the Netherlands, have a MID meter or sit on a connection used only for charging, and you have no other emission credit service provider yet this calendar year.
Market price of 16 Oct 2026. Voltico does not set the ERE price: it forms on a market and moves with it.
How the price is setIs your charger MID-certified?
Search for your brand or model. You see straight away whether the meter in the charger counts for ERE’s.
A first indication per model. What counts is the MID certificate or the EU declaration of conformity of your own charger.
What the fee covers
One connection. We do the rest, until the money is in your account.
Connect
Once, through your charging platform (CPMS).
Validate
Our software checks every charging session before we register it.
Register
We register your charging electricity with the Dutch Emissions Authority (NEa).
Sell
Fuel suppliers buy your ERE's. They need them for their legal CO₂ obligation.
When we pay out
Periodically, directly into your bank account. We can do that because we track your charging data in real time: every charging session is checked before we register it. Until the payout your money sits on a segregated third-party account.
When the verifier visits
EREs only become income once they are verified. Every charging session is checked for accuracy. Voltico does this automatically and in real time., with no mark-up. A few situations are settled or invoiced separately; those are set out below.
Administration fee
€25 per correction or revision you request on your data
Verification costs
On Voltico, except for four exceptions.
Only for 100% renewable, shore power, mobile machinery or temporary sites, and only if the verification body sees cause. No new visit if nothing has changed.
Only the part your fee does not cover. Above €500, Voltico bears the difference.
Only for incorrect, incomplete or late-delivered data.
If attributable verification costs exceed your fee two calendar years running, we discuss it together. If we cannot agree, Voltico may end the agreement from the next calendar year, provided it gives notice before 1 October.
Frequently asked questions
For businesses, yes. When a business demonstrably charges on on-site generation such as solar panels, it can claim up to twice as many credits per kWh. This does not apply to home chargers: home charging always counts at the grid average. With a battery, Voltico's software can also count stored self-generated energy towards 100% EREs. This requires robust substantiation with verifiable data, which is checked during verification. The software optimises this allocation automatically. No rights can be derived from this.
Four legal requirements apply for 100% EREs:
Gross Production Meter (BPM). Inverter data alone does not meet legal requirements. Cost around €2,000 including installation, depending on the situation, plus a meter data subscription.
Hourly charging session data. kWh consumption must be recorded on an hourly basis.
Guarantees of Origin (GvOs). Submitted annually via the Verticer portal.
Minimum charging volume. This setup is viable from approximately 100,000 kWh charged and generated per year.
Voltico integrates directly with solar installations and smart batteries. Get in touch to discuss the options for your situation.
