The current ERE price
ERE price index
LRE 26 E — electricity, mid price
ERE electricity (LRE-E), 1 ERE = 1 kg CO₂e. Price based on OLYX market data — not Voltico’s net payout to the customer. ERE→kWh conversion: renewable share 50.5% (grid mix 2026) × 183 × 3.6 / 1000.

This is the market price of an ERE-E (source: OLYX), converted to cents per kWh. It is the price an ERE trades at on the market, not your payout: the fee still comes off it, and the market moves. Voltico gives no price or revenue guarantee.
What does Voltico cost?
One fee on your realised revenue, and you only pay it once your ERE’s have been sold. No subscription, no set-up cost, no upfront costs.
- Fee: on a fixed staffel over your gross ERE revenue per calendar year, per company: 20% on the first €10,000, 15% on €10,000–25,000, 8% on €25,000–100,000, 7% on €100,000–250,000 and 6% above that. Each percentage applies only to the part inside that band. Example: on €40,000 of revenue the fee is €5,450 (13.6% on average).
- Set-up cost: none.
- Minimum charging volume: 50 MWh a year, 100 MWh with on-site generation and 200 MWh with storage. If a charger delivers less than 1,500 kWh a year, you probably have a home charger.
- Verification costs: the starting point is that Voltico bears them, with no mark-up. A few situations are settled or invoiced separately; those are set out below.
- Administration fee: €25 per correction or revision you request.
When the verifier visits
A registration only becomes final after a positive check by a verification body registered with the NEa. You get no invoice for the verification costs we pay to that body. Three items are the exception:
| Item | Rate | When |
|---|---|---|
| Site-visit surcharge | €950 per location per visit | Only for 100% renewable, shore power, mobile machinery or temporary sites, and only if the verification body sees cause. No new visit if the same body has already been and nothing has changed. |
| Verification-cost settlement | max. €500 per connection per year | Only the part your fee does not cover. Above €500, Voltico bears the difference. |
| Additional work | full pass-through | Only for incorrect, incomplete or late-delivered data. |
Two rules protect you: your fee covers the verification costs first, and a settlement can never push your payout below zero. So you never have to pay in. We always give advance written notice of a settlement, with substantiation.
Worked example (illustrative, not a price guarantee). A connection with €6,000 in ERE revenue, a fee of €1,200 and €1,700 in attributable verification costs. The fee covers €1,200; €500 is settled (the cap); Voltico bears the rest. Payout: €4,300.
If attributable verification costs exceed your fee two calendar years running, we discuss it together. If we cannot agree, Voltico may end the agreement from the next calendar year, provided it gives notice before 1 October.
How you become a client
- You sign up and sign the authorisation agreement, listing your EAN connections and the authorisations. If your company is not itself the connection holder (a leased site, for instance), the connection holder issues a consent declaration.
- We check the connection(s): the MID meter, whether the charger sits on the right EAN connection with a smart meter, the signing authority, and the data link with your CPMS or charger.
- Once that is done, you are a confirmed client and we start registering, with retroactive effect to 1 January of that year.
- We register your charging sessions with the NEa as ERE’s and sell those, often bundled with other clients’, in our own name but for your account and risk. Invoicing runs on self-billing: we issue the invoice on your behalf.
- You get paid through our payment service provider (Stripe), after the buyer has paid. In the Portal you see the ERE statuses, the prices realised, the fee deducted and your payouts.
The agreement runs per calendar year (an NEa requirement), with a minimum term of two calendar years (2026 and 2027) and until 31 December 2030 at the latest. No upfront costs; cancel yearly after 2027. Termination is with three months’ notice against the end of a calendar year, for the first time as of 31 December 2027. A connection can be added by agreement; if you lose a connection (through relocation, say), you report it through the Portal.
What does your charging earn?
Now about €0.10 per kWh gross, as of 16 Oct 2026. What you keep net depends on your volume: work it out.
What Voltico does for you here
Voltico handles the NEa administration and the annual verification on your company’s behalf, across every connected site. The service fee falls on a tier structure as your volume grows, and you pay no upfront costs.
