NEa (Nederlandse Emissieautoriteit)
The NEa (Nederlandse Emissieautoriteit, Dutch Emissions Authority) is the body that administers the fuel transition obligation in the Netherlands. The NEa runs the Register Energie voor Vervoer (REV), which holds ERE’s in accounts, sets the annual parameters and supervises compliance. On any substantive question about the regulation, the NEa is the authoritative source.
The NEa is not a market party: it does not trade ERE’s and does not book in. Whoever books in does so themselves or via an ERE service provider, and registers the result in the NEa's register.
