REV (Register Energie voor Vervoer)

The REV (Register Energie voor Vervoer, the Dutch register for energy in transport) is the NEa's register in which energy supplied to transport is recorded and in which ERE’s are held in accounts. Obligated parties use their REV account to demonstrate that they meet the fuel transition obligation. Supplies from a calendar year must be registered in the REV before 1 March of the following year.

So an ERE does not exist as a document but as a balance in this register. That is why "certificate" is a misleading description: there is no piece of paper, there is an account.
