Maarten Poot is an innovator in the emission credits market, accelerating the transition to more sustainable mobility through Voltico.
Together with his brother Edward, he forms a strong founding team. As an independent emission credit service provider, Voltico enables organizations to benefit from emission credits by converting every charged kWh into revenue through ERE's*. No administrative burden, no operational disruption, and no upfront investment.
Maarten’s creative approach results in practical solutions that shape Voltico into a scalable and user-friendly platform. Their proprietary software increases transparency around emission credit value and lowers the barrier to sustainable choices.
Maarten Poot is an experienced entrepreneur and pioneer in electric mobility. As co-founder of felyx, he introduced more than one million users to shared electric mopeds while scaling the company to several hundred employees. From an early age, Maarten has been driven by a passion for building, from sandcastles and Lego creations to virtual cities and architecture. This long-standing interest continues to fuel his drive to create, innovate and improve.
Maarten lives with his partner in Amsterdam and draws energy from everything he does, ranging from HIIT workouts to the dance floor and from black ski slopes to sustainable mobility.
*Emission credits (EREs) have replaced what was previously known as Renewable Energy Units (HBEs) since January 1, 2026.
