Can a company earn money from its EV charging?
Yes. If your company owns or operates EV charging infrastructure, you can earn monthly income through e-credits. That is a government-backed scheme that rewards businesses for supporting cleaner transport. Voltico handles the entire process automatically.
Do I need to do anything once I sign up?
No. After a simple one-time technical connection, everything runs automatically. Voltico tracks your charging data, claims the credits, trades them, and pays you monthly. No manual work, no administration.
How much extra income can I generate with my EV-charging data?
It depends on your charging volume. As an indication, grid charging can earn around €0.10 per kWh. Use the calculator on this page to get an estimate for your portfolio.
What technical and administrative requirements do my chargers need to meet?
To participate, your charging infrastructure needs to meet certain technical specifications. First, the chargers must be MID-certified (meaning they use a legally approved meter that accurately records every kWh charged). In specific cases, a secondary connection point with its own EAN, exclusively for charging, can be applied, but this is not the standard operating procedure. Second, the grid connection (identified by its EAN number) must be registered in the name of your company. If you lease your premises or your chargers are managed by a third party, we will help you assess whether the setup is eligible and what steps, if any, are needed to qualify.
What does it cost to work with Voltico?
Nothing upfront to Voltico. We work on a no-cure, no-pay basis. We only charge a percentage of what you earn, and setup costs are deducted from your first payout. There is a one-time FOD registration fee required by the Belgian regulator, which we will walk you through during onboarding.
