At Voltico, we are building the go-to software and trading platform for emission credits (EREs, successors, and international equivalents) related to electric charging. We are a driven team accelerating the energy transition by making complex processes simple, scalable, and compliant.

Our customers include logistics operators, real estate owners, retailers, and other businesses with charging infrastructure and annual charging consumption of at least 50 MWh. As we onboard customers and partners and expand, we are scaling our technology platform to support increasing volume, complexity, and regulatory requirements.

We are looking for a Software Engineer who will help design, build, and scale Voltico’s core platform. This is a senior, hands-on engineering role with direct impact on product quality, scalability, and reliability. You will work closely with the founders and the engineering team on critical architectural and product decisions.

Voltico was founded by the entrepreneurs behind Felyx, shared mobility, and Cino, fintech, and combines deep expertise in e-mobility, software, and payments. From Amsterdam, we are building an international platform with strong regulatory foundations.

About the role

As a Software Engineer, you are responsible for building, maintaining, and scaling Voltico’s full-stack software platform.

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and user-facing web applications.

• Take ownership of features end to end, from technical design and implementation to testing and production deployment.

• Contribute to a robust and maintainable system architecture, with a strong focus on reliability, performance, and security.

• Integrate external systems and data sources, such as charging infrastructure, metering data, and verification services.

• Work closely with product and operations to translate regulatory and business requirements into technical solutions.

• Collaborate with the broader team to continuously improve developer experience, code quality, and delivery speed.

• Help define and uphold engineering standards, best practices, and documentation.

• Mentor other engineers and contribute to scaling the engineering team as Voltico grows.

Who we are looking for

Experience

• 5+ years of experience as a software engineer (senior level or above), with significant experience across all parts of the modern web stack.

• Proven experience building and scaling production systems, ideally in B2B SaaS, fintech, energy, or data-intensive environments.

• Experience working on systems with complex data flows, integrations, or compliance requirements.

• Experience working in a scale-up or fast-growing product team is a strong plus.

Skills

• Strong engineering judgment, with the ability to balance speed, quality, and long-term maintainability.

• Structured and disciplined in writing, testing, and reviewing code.

• Comfortable working with data models, APIs, and databases.

• Clear and direct communicator, able to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical colleagues.

• Strong collaboration skills and a team-oriented mindset.

• Hands-on experience with modern web frameworks, backend systems, and cloud infrastructure.

• Fluency in English is required; Dutch is a plus.

• Prior experience with Kotlin/Java, Spring Boot and Vue is preferred.
